FELA Workshop in Nepal


A three-day workshop on 'Effective Land Administration in Nepal: Navigating Governance, Legal, and Financial Pathways within the Climate Change - Land Nexus' is being organized as a collaborative effort of the Land Management Training Center of Government of Nepal, UN-Habitat, the Global Land Tool Network, and Kadaster International from 27 February 2024 to 29 February 2024 at the Land Management Training Center in Dhulikhel, Nepal.

This workshop aims to enhance the existing strengths and achievements in Nepal's land administration. It will focus on exploring governance, legal, and financial pathways, with a particular emphasis on the nexus of climate change and land. The key areas of attention include securing land tenure, improving land use, and promoting climate action. Furthermore, the workshop will facilitate the capacity building of stakeholders and land administration staff and to instigate policy support in the sector of land management.

Participation in the workshop is anticipated from esteemed organizations, including the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, the relevant provincial land related ministry, academic/training institutions, as well as NGOs/ CBOs actively engaged in the land management sector.
